A question about : Call centre workers: spill the beans

We want to tap past and present call centre operatives' collective knowledge and get some inside info: when's the best time to call to avoid an interminably long wait? How much authority do you have to give customers a better price? Is it really quicker to accept the callback option than hold?

A question about : Restaurants playing music too loud

Is one of my irritations. When I go out for a meal with friends, relatives or colleagues, I like chatting with them. In establishments where the music is too loud, it's annoying as cannot hear each other and the waiters

On a few occasions, about three of us have approached the staff requesting the music to be lowered in volume and get the responses 'it's what other customers want'.

One pub chain, Yates, well the one we go to, the staff can change the volume in different areas.

A question about : Ј3 Truprint photo 'mug' offer via MSE!

Charming - I used the Ј3 photo mug offer with Truprint via MSE the other day & just noticed that I've been charged Ј3 + Ј1 + Ј1, three transactions on my c/c statement.

Spoke to Truprint who say the 2 x Ј1 transactions were for verifying the c/c, apparently they don't actually take the money - funny it's on my c/c statement then & certainly has been 'taken'.

Ok, 6 months ago I was contacted by Sapphire Members (part of ME Group, who are apparently terrible). My info had been passed to them after some surveys I had apparently done.

I do a lot of surveys for rewards, cash and vouchers, etc. So it seemed entirely plausible, as often I will get a call from legitimate companies offering me deals.

I recently had a big problem with this company. I paid for a beauty course a sum of Ј238, they cancelled it, and refused to refund my money, They told me I could travel 4 hours to get to an alternative location, OR, do another course in 1 month (however their T&Cs provided for them to cancel these courses ad infinitum!)

Has anyone ever purchased anything from this company, and did you have a satisfactory experience? Apologies if this is redundant but I did try the Search tool on this site but as usual nothing came up.

I'm thinking of using them but I can't seem to find any info on them...

If there is a website where I can check the reliability of mail order companies, if you could let me know I'd appreciate it.

Hi everyone,

I'm in the middle of a bizarre experience with Quidco.

I tried to submit a review to Quidco about Photobox. It was positive about the Photobox products - I really like them - but not so about the cashback, which has failed to track for me more often than not (usually I don't have a problem).

My review was intended as a warning to other Quidco users to be vigilant that their cashback tracks. But now....
