A question about : Fon leave UK users in the lurch

I've been running a Fon hotspot for ages to get access to Fon hotspots without the need to have BT as my ISP.

My Fon router stopped working the other day and I posted on the Tech board to see if others had hit the same problem - for details of the tech side of things check https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/....php?t=5105399

I haven't had a response to my query to Fon yet but somebody else has..

A question about : Praise for Smeg

New electric oven purchased July 2014.

Dear Wife wanted to give it a proper clean which involved removing door, the handbook was quite vague about the method to do this.

Removed door ok but could not get it back on! after a few attempts telephoned Smeg to be told a engineer would come out but it might not be covered by warranty, user error was quoted.

Now the praise, engineer called to arrange time ,the following day, arrived on time, fixed door no charge.

That's what I call customer service.😀

A question about : Legal and General

Had a brick through my window (!) on 7/1/15, which also damaged a door. The same day an emergency company boarded it up.

Since then I have had to chase and chase to get it sorted.

Legal and general referred it to Innovation Group Services who surveyed it on 13/1/15.
Innovation referred it to Mitie who surveyed it on 22/1/15.
Mitie referred it to Elite Maintenance who surveyed it on 5/2/15.

A question about : Vent: Screen shapes/site shapes

Why is it that hardware manufacturers seem to insist the we get ever wider monitor. laptop, and tablet screens at the same time as most sites seem to think it's a good idea to display as a thin ribbon down the middle?

What is worse is that the site designers are so incompetent that even on a tablet held vertically the STILL manage to leave blank space down the sides!
