Has anyone ever actually been declined by Vanquis? How did this tragedy come about and did they give you a straight no or prolong the agony and humiliation of it all ?

• I've been declined by Vanquis. I was accepted for a CC, overdraft and loan from First Direct a couple of weeks afterwards.
  Bloody weird.
• I got turned down by Vanquis...
  I already have a credit card with Citi that isnt a sub-prime as such... I knew things must be bad when Vanquis turned me down!!! ha ha.
• Me me! Pick me! #3 in the "declined by Vanquis" club.
  I'd been in the country only 2 months, and had nothing except a basic bank account to my name.
• How long does it take to get a reply from Vanquis ? OH applied for Vanquis about 2 n half weeks ago and hasn't heard back from them yet
• Normally they would ring you within 5 days if successful, but tell him to give them a ring on 08007816314 option 3. HTH
• cheers sutton, haven't had any house phone calls apart from CSL and he's not brilliant at keeping his mobile phone charged up.
• I also got declined for vanquis but reapplied a year later and was accepted.
• dont got with them! I had the worst experience ever with vanquis
