A question about : Some advice needed

OK... I want to be as honest as I can here so that I can achieve the right advice from all of you lovely, knowledgeable and supportive folk. I can't tell you how sick I feel inside writing this, but I need to ask the questions and consider this as a serious option now.

A question about : credit file

Hi, i went bankrupt in 2009 and it has now gone from my credit file. Problem is two of the creditors i owed are still on my file. Equifax say they will come iff in september. Im I right thinking if they were included in bankruptcy and that has now gone that they should be removed aswell? Thanks in advance....

A question about : What happens after Bankruptcy?

I'm considering BC and I wondered what happens after BC. How is what you pay back over three years worked out?

A question about : when to open a basic bank account?

Hi All

I was made bankrupt at the courts on the 29th January and have just had my first conversation over the phone with the OR 9th February who says I can open an account.

My only option with regards to basic bank accounts is to go with Barclays but Barclaycard is one of my creditors.

I am assuming that Barclaycard has still not been informed about my BR from the OR as I have had no letters from Barclaycard to say that they are closing my accounts.

A question about : Advice on my situation

Hi I have explained my situation on the mortgage thread.
Basically have a house with ex partner it's in negative equity and she is not paying the mortgage anymore and I can't afford to pay it and the rent I have now.
Basically I think it going to end in repossesion and if it does my ex is saying she will go bankrupt and to be honest I would probably look to do the same as no way could I pay back the shortfall.

I was made BR in 1999
Split up from then partner and moved away from the area
I contacted the OR at the time and told them I was moving
I didn't hear any more from them and went on with my life
In 06 I bought a house with my new wife
All was good until we started a company last year
I got a letter via my accountant that I had never been discharged and that I am still bankrupt
I contacted the OR who say they never got any contact from me back in 99
But had no paperwork from back then

A question about : HMRC Harassment

Hi Folks
11 months in to BR & STILL being chased for money by HMRC.
OR has confirmed that the debt falls within my BR (Tax Credits overpayment for period prior to BR). He's told HMRC this.
I've written 3 times to HMRC - all sent recorded delivery, sent a copy of my BR Order, phoned to make sure they've got it etc etc.
I've now got a letter from a debt collector saying they represent HMRC.

A question about : Can't afford Bankruptcy fee

Hi guys,

I've tried researching but can't seem to find much in the way of what my options are if I cannot afford to pay for the bankruptcy fees.

My current situation is that I have somehow managed to collect approx Ј20k of debt over the years, all on credit cards and overdraft. I have no real assets of any worth, just a laptop, a camera and household items. I am a graphic designer/photographer by trade and as such use my computer and camera as a tool of my trade.
