Anyway, in summary, I just thought I'd fill you all in on our experience with applying for a Halifax current account recently. DH and I went BC in October 2008, got ED June 2009. Since then I've managed to open an ISA with Santander and we've continued to bank with Co-Op.

Well it looks like the house i got with the ex is going to be repossessed.
She says when it's reposessed and when the shortfall of negative equity is known she will go bankrupt.
Now if she goes bankrupt does all the mortgage shortfall turn on me?

A question about : Harassed For Mortgage Shortfall

Hi all,

This information on this site has been a godsend throughout my bankruptcy, it's a great community. I thought when I was discharged in October 2014 that would be the end of it but unfortunately not.

Following diagnosis of an illness I was forced to quit my job and reluctantly file for bankruptcy. I was made bankrupt in October 2013.

A question about : LTADT and a BRO

I've had a letter saying my case has been transferred to Long Term Asset & Distribution Team.

I understand that's because of my IPA (which runs until new tax year) as that's my only asset.

My OR was talking about a BRO/BRU, but I've heard nothing else... My automatic discharge isn't for another 6 months so this seems very early to be moved to LTADT, which I've read is when they've 'completed investigations' - is that really the case?? If so does that mean they've not bothered to give me a BRO for whatever reason?

A question about : transfer to LTADT. What does this mean?

Hi all,

I am due to be discharged in may and I received a letter yesterday saying that I am being transferred to the LTADT who will deal with my remaining assets?

I have no IPA and have had no issues the the OR at all so I am confused what this means?

Hope someone can help as I am a little worried.
