A question about : 21 and Bankrupt?

Hello,

I have another account on here that I use for other things.

I'm 21 years old. I don't want to post too much but basically I briefly saw a CAB adviser when I was in a psychiatric hospital the other week. She advised me that I would probably have no choice but to go bankrupt. I do have a further appointment but it's not for over a week.

I have debts totalling around Ј28,000. All severely defaulted. This does not include money that I owe to family members, and possibly open university debt that I am unsure of.

A question about : Informing creditors about new address

Hi

I have all debts in Ireland. Do I have to inform creditors about my Uk address? How long before bankruptcy do I inform them? I have an appointment in court on the 19,02,2015 but just realized that not all of my creditors were informed about my address change.
Can judge ask me for any proof of correspondence( post slips, copy of letters, etc.?) Thanks

Is the official receiver commision based? so more they can get assett/money wise the more they earn?

I suffer from Bi-Polar affective disorder and over the past few years during my periods of mania went on several spending sprees with credit cards, loans, finance etc...

Now this has all come on top with a total of Ј83,000 of non priority debts which my wife and I are unable to make even the minimum payments on.

Most of the creditors have now handed the debts over to debt collection agencies who are sending letters on a weekly basis. One of them has sent a county court claim form which we need to fill in and return with 14 days.

A question about : Banking advice

I know there are several posts about bank accounts for bankruptcy but this one is just a little different.
As a married couple, we have a Barclays cash account. On Monday I will be starting the process of bankruptcy for myself but included with this will be a Barclays loan. I am adviced this will probably mean they will close the account.
Would it be sensible for my wife to open an alternative account with another bank account in just her name and have all the direct debit etc transferred?

Is there a minimum amount a asset has to be worth before it is transffered from the OR to a insolvency practinoner?
