A question about : BT vision box as cheap PVR?

My daughter has just moved into a new rental and, although she has a new TV licence and a cardless Sky box for TV reception, she has no way of recording programmes.

A friend has offered her a working BT Vision box and I was wondering whether she could just connect that up (it appears to have 2 scart sockets so connection to the Sky box and TV would not be a problem) to enable her to record.

A question about : TV streaming box for an old TV ( got Scart, no hdmi)

Im still clinging onto an old CRT TV that doesn't have HDMI inputs (RGB Scart/phono red white yellow) The TV works perfectly well ( coupled to a digital TV recorder ) and if it isnt broken then why replace it?

However I would also like to have access to the likes of netflix, and the main cathcup services ( iplayer, itv player, 4od, demand 5 etc)

At the moment my options seem to be:
Buy a new smart TV - expensive, especially as the the current one works fine

Am thinking of buying this. Right size, I like LG (I think) - good reputation ? Like 5 yr guarantee.

I recorded Homeland series 3 last year and am currently viewing it. For some reason which I have only just realised, episode 8, The Red Wheelbarrow, failed.
Is there some way I can download this episode on my IPad (I have Chromecast) without subscribing to something like Netflix?

Hi. We've been trying to set the Roku up and it asks for card details. I don't want to enter these if I can avoid it as its for my daughter's tv, is there a way to do this. Thank you

Is it true that i can keep my Tivo box after a years contract has passed?

Virgin says they will collect it back however a few people have said its now mine if owned for 12 months?
