A question about : New sky customer

Hi guys, so i just signed up for a 12 month sky contact with the following package:

Family
sports
sky3D
skyHD
free HD box and a 100 quid m&s voucher.

Total monthly cost:Ј48.37 (for 12 months)
Cost without discount :Ј62.75

The bloke i haggled with in online chat gave me 25% off the TV component for 12 months, which i thought was ok, but seeing some of the deals people are getting on renewals i'm not so sure if i did infact get a good deal here?

A question about : freeview problem!!

our new digital aerial which was installed 6 months ago on the roof has been working fine but since yesterday the signal quality has dropped for BBC 1 and 2 and there is a lot of interference!!other channels are absolutely fine...any idea on whats wrong? i tried internal aerial and BBC channels are fine!!

A question about : Anyone use an android TV box for streaming?

Been looking around for an android TV box for streaming TV but does anyone have any experience with this type of set up streaming Sky channels?

I understand quality will depend on the internet level you have, but are these boxes actually worth the Ј40 -Ј60ish cost and are some boxes better than others?

Also anyone have one with the XBMC software insatlled that can 'review' this for me?

A question about : Freeview TV for Netflix

I am looking for a second TV (for the kitchen) that I can see Freeview/Freesat stations, and will also support Netflix. I have just spent all afternoon setting up a Samsung smart TV only to find out Netflix isn't an available app on the TV (but Amazon Prime is!). Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced TV that will meet my needs without me having to get a blueray player/PS3/Apple TV box as an add on? I want it to be as simple to use, and have no extra cables if possible.

A question about : Black & white TV license

I pay a standard TV license but have just seen on the website that you can get a black and white TV license for Ј49 per year. This may be a stupid question but if I were to change the display settings on my TV to black and white would I be able to pay a black & white TV license? Uns ure of whether the license is to receive programs in black and white or just view them in black and white. And could anyone prove or disprove that I'm watching tv without colour?

A question about : Freeview via WiFi on a smart TV??

Hi, I currently pay for virgin & while it's great I really only use the channels I could get on freeview anyway. I have a smart TV (Samsung ue40h6400) - does anyone know if there is a way to get freeview via WiFi on a smart TV? I can already get a lot of on demand stuff through my TV with apps but would like to get live TV. Assume that an aerial is not an option if you respond, please.

A question about : Sky Contract?

Hi,

Writing on behalf of a senior citizen whose husband sadly passed away 14 months ago. Her spouse had a contract with Sky for a Sky Box. The agreement was cancelled by Sky when they heard of the spouse passing away.

However, last week the lady received a phone call apparently from Sky saying she'd taken out a contract with Sky for a new handset in 2012. She denied this of course and asked for the matter to be sent to her in writing so she could study it. The request was agreed to. Nothing arrived in the post.

A question about : Magic remote/LG TV

anyone had problems and solved ? (re the voice activation setup).
I get a box say this sentence (So I say just that), the sound level indicator 'reacts', then nothing. I would have thought it wanted you to say a series of Q. Tried dozens of times !!!! Help please
