Stoozing: Free Cash from Credit Cards

A question about : stoozing.com calculator replacement

Hi,

When last shopping around for 0% cards, the stoozing.com website was excellent. It contained all of the current credit card offers, and you could simply enter your balance and savings account rate details and it would show you a list of all the current offers with estimated profits/losses against them - made choosing a card a doddle.

A question about : How much free credit have you got?

Just wondering how much O% credit people have managed to accrue. I hadn't really worked it out until recently but we (my wife and I) have Ј55000 on 0% purchases and Ј15000 on balance transfers. (2% and 2.69% fee).

This offsets my mortgage and funds various savings accounts.

Would be interesting to know how far banks would go in lending like this.

A question about : MBNA Card?

Hello all I am just after a bit of advice please.

My current debt is as follow....

Credit Card 1 = Ј2122.65 (18.9%) - I pay min Ј50 a month
Credit Card 2 = Ј6775.72 (0%) for 28 months - I pay min Ј146 a month
Loan = Ј5326.38 (9.4%) 29 payments left !!! - Ј181

A question about : Debit card charge

Sorry if this is in the wrong section couldn't find where to post! Just a quick question really.. went to a restaurant today and was charged to use my debit card? seemed a bit odd just wanted to check if this was allowed? I would understand if it was a credit card.. no warnings on the menu or anything only discovered it when I went to pay!

A question about : curious as to how much im actually saving

Hi all,

managed to get my first 0% for 19 months and just curiousas to how much im actually saving while earning 3% interest in the 123 acc not paying off the balance on the CC.

will be spending Ј600 on a new PC this month, along with my outgoings of Ј250-300 per month until i max the card out all will be put onto this card

the calculators ive found do not allow me to put these figures in and just allow the balance once and not ongoing. is there a formula on working this out? thanks

A question about : Slow stoozing

Hi,

I have an offset mortgage and have been slow stoozing for the last few months on a Santander card.

I am now approaching the credit limit of the card (have DD set up for minimum) and have the full balance in one of my offset aaccounts. There is over 12 months til end of 0% and I decide next steps - pay off /BT

Am thinking about getting another card and repeating exercise and have a few questions:

- will I be able to secure another 0% card with a good credit rating as technically I have a 10k credit record?

A question about : 123-REG Insecure email Passwords

I have a 123-reg account with email and website.

I became aware over a number of calls to them over the past few days that 123-reg operators can see customers passwords in full!
They say this is only the email account passwords, however, as most people use either the same/similar passwords or password system (for remembering individual passwords), this is surely a concerning situation. Shouldn't the password be secure - like bank accounts, 1st, 5th and 8th letter/number for example?
