Is This Quote Fair?

A question about : Replacement of concrete lintels and sills

I've obtained a quote of Ј1700 for the replacement of two concrete over lintels and three concrete window sills.

This is a terraced house so the lintels/sills are fairly small and with no curvature.

Once removed, the 3 sills would be boxed first by a joiner and the concrete poured in to make new ones.

Ok we moved into this house knowing it needed work. However Im unsure about the price I should be paying for the above. I will be providing the towel rail myself as I want a fancy one but other than that I'll be relying on the workman. I live in the East Midlands so what price should I be looking at? I've been quoted 6-6.5K.....

A question about : Repointing a house

We need to repoint our house - an end of terrace in Coventry. How much do you think we would expect to pay? We've thought of doing it ourselves but by the time we've hired one of those scaffolding towers I think it may be more cost effective to get a pro in.....and of course we don't know what we're doing... :confused:

Just moved house and possibly looking to get all the upstairs bedrooms plastered, if its not too expensive, any idea what it will cost for someone to do a small, square bedroom and the ceiling? I'm on the Herts/Essex borders if that helps
