A question about : drivelite 24 , lighting for driveway paving

Can anyone help me source these from anywhere apart form Jewsons and Marshalls ? I`ll need around about 24 sets which if purchased via Jewsons (Marshalls supplier) will cost me about Ј17k ! But during conversation it transpired that the ones Marshalls supply are made by some-one else for them which suggests I should be able to buy them direct from manufacturer .

Just to let you know, the thread I have posted called SPONS is a book that used in Facilities Management, it gives u guidelines on how much things should cost, for example cost of walpapering a wall, it will give u a guideline on how much a contractor should be charging per m(square) and gives detailes of nearly all refurbishment costs. It is a guide line but good for questioning quotes from contractors and the cost associated with the work..

What is a fair price for fitting about 5 m of worktop cutting a hole for a sink moving a unit and cutting an existing unit down,I have no idea and a friend is going to do it,

• any mitre joins required? if so, he will need to apy about Ј50 per corner to get someone to do it, - you need a good router and proper jig. - the rest, approx Ј150 -Ј200 /day for a fitter to do it. this is for surrey area

Just to clarify the warning that Martin has put at the top of the page regarding building works and electrical changes done to your house or extension. Part P of the building regulations state that if you have any electrical work done that work will have to be inspected by a competent person, and that if you have recently had an extension built, with electrical installations, in the very near future the rest of you house will need to be checked, as it may need to be up graded to comply with the new regulations.

A question about : Removing damp

Damp in Master bedroom - it's a window on one side of the room that turns a corner - ie the window is across one side of the room and then on a corner (big)- mould on the walls - wipes away... based in Essex... A,B and C refer to the corner wall part - so there's like and indent in the corner.

A question about : Need a carpenter in North London

I'm looking for a carpenter in North East London to do some shelving and wardrobes. I wondered if anyone has any recommendations? I have used Rated People before with varying results. I know there are plenty of review websites out there, but I'm pretty wary of them and would far rather go with a proper recommendation if possible.

we live in a 3 bedroom semi detached Victorian property. when we moved in the property had storage heaters which we found far too expensive to run so we installed a wood burning stove which is our sole heating at the moment and in the current weather conditions we are freezing! so we are considering installing a gas central heating system into the property.

the property is not currently connected up to a gas supply so we need a new connection which will cost us Ј900 from SGN
