A question about : Kitchen Quote
Hi All
We are thinking about a new kitchen and have just had a quote from a local company. We have a small kitchen (about 3m x 3m) and quote is for:
Rockford PTO Rigid
sink side:
3 x 500mm base units
3 x wall units of various sizes (500,300 1000)
1 x 1.5 undermount ceramic sink
1 x mixer tap
silestone bianco river top
cooker side:
5 x 500mm floor units (1 is a 3 drawer unit)
4 x wall units (various sizes)
1 x end unit
1 x Belling built in stainless steel oven
1 x Belling ceramic hob
1 x Integrated hood
silestone bianco river top
+ tiling/plinths/pelmet/cornice/led lighting
+block up kitchen hatch (will be tiled over) and old warm air heating opening in the kitchen. quite small jobs..
+move one socket
We've been quoted Ј12k for supply+fit or Ј8.6k supply only.
We were a bit taken aback with this so wanted views from the panel!!

- Sounds dear to me, is this with a local kitchen fitting company or a general builder?
Usually kitchen fitting co are very expensive, best option is to find and price the items you want and then get a builder you trust to quote for installing etc - I don't know the kitchen make so can't really comment.
If you get more quotes, try to compare the cabinetry price rather than everything else they throw in.
The cheapestway to do it is to source items from different places It'sno the most convenient though! - Without knowing kitchen make very hard to say but as an indicator appliances are budget range so suspect units would be also normally higher the appliances price more expensive the kitchen so that's a high quote?
- Thanks All. Just been sorting this out and I'll be removing old kitchen and getting new units from diy-kitchens.com. More and better units with more appliances and also brickwork/scimming ceiling/spots etc and it should be around Ј6k, getting in someone to sort the kitchen worktops - I can do everything else so well happy with that!!
