A question about : Making a “Deed of variation and Family Arrangement”

My mother who passed away a year ago left her estate equally to me and my sister. I want to divide my 50% share into roughly a third each for me and my two sons, however we have had no luck in selling her property at the moment.

So here is the question.
I want to give my sons a share now, so Can I legally proceed with raising a “Deed of variation” relating to my half share and give my two sons a share from my own money now, pending the Property being sold and the will being finalised.

I'd be grateful for comments about the following minor will dilemma.

The aim is to leave assorted amounts of money in the will to a variable number of people, but the amounts and the people may change as time passes.

It is an expensive pain to get a solicitor to make minor changes to a will every two or three years, as things change.

My husband and I like to take advantage of special 'oldies' offers at food outlets, but the only national ones I know of are the Taybarns' Wise Ones (not as nice as it used to be , but Ј4.50? 9-5 weekdays) and Hungry Horse's Golden Years (Ј4.49 any time weekdays).

Are there any more ?

A question about : Workmen in the house

Just out of interest, would you always stay in when you have workmen in, or would you consider going out?
Would you stay out all day?
Would it invalidate your house insurance if anything went wrong whilst you were out?
And when you are at home, how often do you make drinks for them?
Do you offer anything to eat?
Am interested in other people's views, though it won't change what I do.

Anyone had experience of using the London Anatomy Office and their procedures? Were there any problems with timescales or paper work? Was there any problem with the pickup service not being available at weekends or Bank Holidays?

A question about : B&Q Over 60's 10% Discount Card

We discovered today, after buying several trays of bedding plants on a 4 for Ј10 (or Ј3 each) offer, that the Diamond Card Wednesdays 10% discount no longer applies on already discounted offers and multibuys.

Thought I'd put it here so that you're all aware before you go to B&Q specifically for the 10% discount. Had we known, we could probably have bought our plants cheaper in Aldi.
