A question about : Withdrawing my ISA to pay into a new ISA that does't allow transfers?

Hi,

I have Ј15,186 in my current ISA with Santander on a easy access 'Direct ISA Saver' account earning 1.60% for year 2014/2015. This interest rate is due to end on 7th April 2015, and will drop down to the variable rate of 1% if I do nothing..

A question about : Transfer to S&S ISA

I have Ј60k in a Cash ISA which I was keeping in cash for a reason that no longer exists. I now want to invest it for better returns (expected investment period is 8-15 years), but I don't know how best to get from A to B. I've had a look at a few guides, but it's all either so vague that it's not helpful or really specific but for circumstances that do not match mine (what to do if you have Ј50 a month etc).

A question about : Advice

Hi,

I'm new to ISAs and after some advice. Between my partner and I, we have Ј60k to invest in ISAs (Ј30k before end of Tax Year, and another Ј30k from Apr 6). Can we open up an ISA each then top up that same ISA early in new Tax Year so that each ISA then holds Ј30k? Or is each year a separate and new ISA? Or are there any suggestions for a better way of investing?

Well, it was only a matter of time of course!

My wife and I had our letters informing us that interest rate is dropping to 2.54% for those with the issue 1 product. I believe this is the same as the issue 2 product.

A question about : Opening an ISA while living abroad

I want to open an ISA but am currently living in Spain. I still have a UK bank account and UK address (parents house). The terms and conditions state that to open an ISA you must be a UK resident. Could I just open one anyway online while living in Spain? What are the risks?

A question about : S&S ISA_ for small investor and basic tax rate -waste of time?

just wondering if its true that for small and basic income tax rate payers is stocks and shares isa waste of time?

I understand that ISA saves tax on incme but as i understand dividend is already taxed at 10% at source.Then each year the capital gains tax has a relatively generous limit for small investors which is that only if gains are above Ј10,000 (approx) that tax is due.....

or have i missed something?

A question about : S&S ISA Opening Query

My wife had a small S&S ISA running that we closed in December, about Ј4/500 had had been paid in this tax year.

The money was put into a Personal Pension.

We now want to open a new S&S ISA that we will put about Ј10/11k into before April.

My question - Can this be in her name or will that be against the rules?

A question about : Nationwide ISA Sort Code

I was going to start a thread to see if anyone knew the above sort code but I've phoned them and it is 07-00-93 and their account number for transfers out is 33333334.

Posted just in case it helps anyone in the same situation.

If it's on any of the paperwork I certainly couldn't find it!
