A question about : S&S ISA_ for small investor and basic tax rate -waste of time?
hi
just wondering if its true that for small and basic income tax rate payers is stocks and shares isa waste of time?
I understand that ISA saves tax on incme but as i understand dividend is already taxed at 10% at source. Then each year the capital gains tax has a relatively generous limit for small investors which is that only if gains are above Ј10,000 (approx) that tax is due.....
or have i missed something?

- What happens if the cgt limit is dropped to Ј2000. Or all investments are subject to additional tax?
Would you feel a bit silly to have missed the opportunity to have that money protected from tax?
