Anyone know how to convert an old Nationwide isa?

A question about : Anyone know how to convert an old Nationwide isa?

My sister has an old Nationwide web isa issue 4 sitting on a rate of 0.5%. She has asked me to try and convert it for her to the 1.25% instant isa saver. She doesn't want to fix it or move it out, just convert it in meantime.

ISA Rules and the DWP

A question about : ISA Rules and the DWP

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum section, but as it specifically concerns ISA regulations, I thought I would post here first.

The question concerns the way that the DWP interpret the ISA regulations when determining the capital that a person legally and beneficiallyowns.

The DWP take the view that:

1. HMRC rules do not allow money held in an ISA to be held on behalf of another person.

Can anyone tell me, if you save regularly in this account do you get the 1% bonus even if you don't want the mortgage? If this is correct, this ISA is offering 3%.

ISA fees and costs

A question about : ISA fees and costs

Daft Laddie questions:

What are the average fees that are charged on an ISA? - I have taken out a few on the advice of a financial advisor, but am paying a monthly fee on top of the initial charge. Given the current rates am I really going to get a return once all the fees are taken off? I think its 0.5%, but 0.5% of what??

Satander Direct ISA

A question about : Satander Direct ISA

I opened a Santander Direct ISA last year in the new financial year, and will be expecting them to reduce the interest rate in a couple of months. Have not received any official notification via the post regarding the interest rate drop. Has anyone else received their letters?, or is it not policy now to send people a letter? Thanks!

Junior Isa

A question about : Junior Isa

My toddler has got a junior isa with NW and it will lose its bonus at the end of the end so is no longer competitive. I just want to know whether I could open an isa with Halifax with Ј50 so that my toddler can benefit from the 4% rate as long as I am a customer. This Ј50 will be dormant as I do not intend to add any money in it as the rate is nothing. I want to open the HF isa before April in my name and then after 5th April open a JISA for my little boy for 2015/2016, is that feasible? Thanks
