A question about : My debt diary

Hi everyone I'm steph and I'm 23, I work full time for the ambulance service as a call handler for the 111 service and I'm a single mum to my 3 year old daughter.

I am in some debt at the moment with mobile phone contracts and pay day loans etc because of my ex boyfriend.

I've been chipping away at these debts for the last 2 years and have made a considerable dent in them but I want tgem all gone this year so I can start saving for a car.

As a writer by profession, I shouldn't find a diary too difficult to maintain right? So, just starting out on my debt free journey.

It's just me and the cat in this together. Cats are, of course, free loaders, so can't expect him to help (other than cuddles - he is a huge, 14 year old tom cat who is as soft as butter).

Well, I have finally faced up to the huge debt mountain I have to climb after years of denial when I was spending without thinking of the consequences.
Paid for three children to go through university, supported them with living expenses etc. Husband took early retirement and a small part time job which paid him his spending money and I took on all the bills etc thinking I could keep our living standards up to what they had been before.

A question about : Getting out of debt to myself

I hope people don't mind if I post here, as I don't owe anyone else any money.

I am doing this in the hope that it will push me to work harder at my small business. I'm not a natural businesswoman, but I am passionate about my complementary therapies.

I have invested a considerable sum in my training and start-up costs and I have on-going costs whether I have clients or not.
