Stop being a Wimp!... DMP Journey

A question about : Stop being a Wimp!... DMP Journey

For the last 2 years I have known that we have a problem but I have continued to try and pay all the bills, mortgage and CC's often using CC's to pay other things and withdrawing cash to keep us going.

My OH is a gardener so his work is very seasonal, plus we were shafted by a family member. This means that his income goes up and down all the time and sometimes down but not up!

The not-so new cazzy

A question about : The not-so new cazzy

Hi all

I'm finally de-lurking after 2 successive Christmasses of viewing your DFDs and trying to use them as a launch pad.

I'm not in debt persee (sp?)but I'm not going anywhere either!!! I'm a 25 year old single female, qualified and working supply teacher....but I still live at home with my parents and my sister. Whilst this is not uncommon these days, it's been somewhat unhealthy for quite some time as we are all grown adults!!!

January 2015 is the beginning

A question about : January 2015 is the beginning

Hi all

Well - having read lots of diaries on here I can see why they help you on the road to becoming debt free, and how they inspire others. So I thought I would start my own diary.

A little bit of history - which if I say it fast enough may just slip by you title=Embarrassment We've have had large debts before and consolidated it into a secured loan. Huge mistake, but we are where we are and can only move forward.

Being an adult!!

A question about : Being an adult!!

Hey All,

Am a fairly new lurker who has decided to take the plunge and start a diary to try and keep me on the straight and narrow!

I'm a single mum to a crazy beautiful toddler, I work part-time and study part-time and I'm hoping to go to Uni in September to study nursing.

The "time to be a grown up" diary!

A question about : The "time to be a grown up" diary!

Hello!

Newbie here... Have been lurking on a few diaries for the last few days since having my LBM during the holidays. A friend pointed me in the direction of the forum and told me to jump in head first!

We are about to pull the purse strings soooo tight!

A question about : We are about to pull the purse strings soooo tight!

Hi All,

Like a lot of people on here I have been lurking on this site as a watcher for a number of years and during this time I have also watched our finances spiral out of control. Today I have had my LBM and oh boy could I cry.

The hilariously over-optimistic goals I am setting myself in 2010....

A question about : The hilariously over-optimistic goals I am setting myself in 2010....

....One of which is to find the time to maintain this diary, which will hopefully keep me on track. The 2 main areas for change this year are pretty unoriginal. Like most people, I want to sort out my finances and lose weight. Tied into this are plans to stop smoking (so I can exercise without keeling over, hence losing weight), and cut down my drinking drastically, starting with a Dry January (saving me calories, hence losing weight, and saving money).
