A question about : My debt diary

Hi everyone title=Smile I'm steph and I'm 23, I work full time for the ambulance service as a call handler for the 111 service and I'm a single mum to my 3 year old daughter.

I am in some debt at the moment with mobile phone contracts and pay day loans etc because of my ex boyfriend.

I've been chipping away at these debts for the last 2 years and have made a considerable dent in them but I want tgem all gone this year so I can start saving for a car.

The debts I have are:

Ј1406 - natwest overdraft
Ј795 - overpaid housing benefit (I am disputing this because me and my ex didn't live at that property at the time)
Ј270 - provident
Ј306 - lowell (originally an 02 phone contract)
Ј440 - money I owe my dad
Ј306 - haven (taking my daughter to north Wales in June title=Big)
Ј269 - virgin
Ј313 - BT
Ј520 - budgeting loan from when we were on JSA

I take home about Ј2000 a month including tax credits and my ex does not pay any CSA. I guess I've just started this diary because I really don't see where all the money goes each month and I wanna clear this debt as soon as I can so I can start repairing my credit rating and save for a car title=Smile

  • So i got a letter today for a tax rebate of Ј97 gonna put that in the bank today then that'll get me my bus pass for the month (Ј61) then a bit of money for when I go watch Mamma Mia in Liverpool with my mum on Wednesday.
    3 days off work today so I'm gonna get one of my essays finished for my Open University degree.
    Payday on Friday and I have calculated I should have around Ј500 to throw at the debts, gonna give my dad Ј200 back I think and pay the rest of Haven off can't wait.
