Hi everyone, I hope you don't mind me joining in here - I've been lurking for a while, but it's reached the point where I need to 'fess up to owing rather more money than is comfortable and actually doing something about it.

Ok so I have finally plucked up the courage to start my diary. It's a really good way of recording the events that take place in my effort to finally become debt free after years of struggling and robbing Peter to pay Paul.

A question about : Lost the plot!

I lost the plot, completely.

I have suffered a complete and total meltdown. I have no idea what money we now owe.

My tenant is hundreds of pounds behind with the rent, so I sorted them a payment plan. Its time I did the same with me.

I have no clue when I will be debt free. I need to sort myself a goal for this week or next week now.

A question about : Enjoying the journey

Well I did it!

It took 5 years from joining this site and 12 months of really hard work and changes repaying them, but I did it, and paid the credit cards back. For the first time in 14 years I am credit card free and if you would have told me that a year ago I would not have believed it was possible.
