A question about : Frugal Fraggle's Financial Fast

After getting my debts under control and paid off a few years ago, I've not learned from my mistakes and have got myself into a sticky situation again. It's not past the point of no return - being strict with myself for a year or so should get things back to more acceptable levels, but I'd like to pay off everything as quickly as possible so I can start getting my credit rating back in line for house buying in a year or two.

Hi Everyone!

I'm new here. It's great to see such an active forum.

I currently have $10,800 to pay off until I'm debt free. I want that to be by Christmas 2015.

I will have access to $2700 in July, which has been locked away in one of the Australian Gov't First Home Saver Accounts. Since they scrapped the scheme, I will be able to use the funds when they become available. I plan to use this to help pay down debt.

A question about : Debt Free but the journey continues

Hi All,

I have been feeling a bit lost since I paid off my debt in Autumn last year. I still have some debts as follows:

Student Loan Ј4260 (This comes directly out of my salary Ј134 per month)
Tesco CC Ј2400 (0% until Apr 2016)
MSC Fees Ј178 per month (until May 2015)
Next Ј154
Very Ј50 (0%)
Tax credit Overpayment Ј22 (until Sept 2015)

I have around Ј27,000 in my savings, I am not clearing these debts with my savings as most of them are 0%

A question about : Under 6 months to get debt free!

I have just under 6 months to clear my credit card debt of Ј2627 (thankfully all on 0% interest) and I believe that, if I really put my mind to it, I can get this all cleared within this timescale. Who knows, I might even be able to start saving!

So here I am with a nice new diary to keep me motivated and on track

I have been reading a lot of diaries recently, subscribed to a rare few that tickled my fancy or I had a connection with.

Thought I would start my own diary.

So a bit about me I'm a 30-year-old working part time in a bank decided to use 2015 to pay off numerous debts. One of these challenges was to save Ј1 pound and Ј2 pound coins and use a old bank account to transfer order amounts from my bank account each week.

Hello.

I feel the need to start some kind of diary because my head is in a complete mess at the moment!

For the last couple of years I have been debt free for the first time in my life since I was 18 and stupidly took out my first credit card!

But then in June my dad died, we were living with him and all we paid was Ј500 rent as well as occasional help for the bills when we could afford it. I was a full time NHS student and my oH left work to become a stay at home dad in 2011.
