A question about : ***Jobcentre Plus & 0800 numbers from a mobile

From 18th January 2010, customers of O2, Orange, Tesco Mobile and Vodafone will receive free mobile phone calls to our 0800 numbers for claims to State Pension, Jobseekers Allowance, Income Support, and Employment and Support Allowance as well as to ask for emergency payments or crisis loans; those with T-Mobile and Virgin Mobile from 25th January 2010.

Customers of other mobile phone companies will be charged but DWP is now looking to reach a similar arrangement with them.

A question about : child tax credit from 2011 2012

Hi,

I just need someone to clarify the cut off for getting tax credits 2011-2011.
has it now gone down to a family earning no more than Ј40,000 a year?
Also is it correct that from april 2012 the cut off for getting child tax credit is a couple joint income of Ј25,000 a year????

We have 6 children, 5 that live with us all under 16.

A question about : 2012-13 Tax Credit Calculator?

As a family we earn Ј35k a year, currently get Ј150 Tax Credit per month with 3 kids. I understand from what I have read online this will slightly decrease in 2011-12 due to the 41p taper.

Am I right in thinking I will get nothing in 2012-13? I cannot work out if I get any of the family element still? Is there an easy way of calculating?

A question about : Disability living allowance for over 16's with diabetes

This is a bit specific, but We have been in receipt of disability living allowance for our daughter who suffers from diabetes. The extar cash is a great help to buy the extra more expensive sugar free foods etc.
She will soon be 16 and we have to re-claim. The forms are different as they focus more on her abilities and disabilities rather than the need of parents to care for her, and we are wondering if she is still able to receive it?

A question about : rules for holidaying abroad on income support

just want to clarify the situation for a friend we have conflicting information.

Does she have a right to go on holiday with her husband and children and NOT have her income support stopped? Her husband is on DLA middle rate care and she receives carers benefit, as well as income support. help with mortgage interest and couuncil tax etc ...... Children at school.....

She believes she can go abroad for up to 4 weeks with absolutely no change in her benefits claim.

A question about : Child with ADHD- ar they entitled to any benefits?

Hello everyone, My child has ADHD and was diagnosed 3yrs ago. I heard someone who's son has also got ADHD has been claiming benefits due to the condition.. is this correct as nobody has ever mentioned it to me?
