Personal pension options

A question about : Personal pension options

I want something i don't have to think about too much. The Cavendish one online looked pretty decent to me but I don't really know.

Having looked into SIPPs a bit more I realise I don't really know what I'm doing so would prefer to invest in a personal pension.

Part of what I see on them though seems to suggest that you still invest in funds though which is confusing??

When to transfer ISA?

A question about : When to transfer ISA?

I have a cash ISA with Lloyds. The bonus on this will end and the rate becomes even more miserly so I will transfer. Is there anything I need to watch out for in terms of when I should transfer? As far as I understand, whenever I request the transfer any interest earned that has yet to be paid would be transferred over so no interest is ever lost. Is this correct?

Grandchild can't access her savings after parents separate

A question about : Grandchild can't access her savings after parents separate

Sorry, title not very explicit.

My 11 year old grandaughter's savings are in a Barclays account which says Mrs A N Other re: Child Another. She has savings from Christmas and birthday money over the years and there should be a four figure sum in the account.

My son and his wife separated a few months ago and it's not been particularly amicable. My grandaughter now lives with her father and her mother is a few hours' drive away.

Share allocation

A question about : Share allocation

Hi All,

I would welcome some view on the following asset allocation. I am no expert when it comes to this sort of stuff so want something passive over the short-medium term (8-10 years). No particular aim in mind apart from putting away spare cash in S&S ISA rather than a saving account. Looking at around Ј700 pcm drip feed as follows:

Woodford: 45%
Vanguard LifeStrategy80: 45%
Vanguard Emerging Markets: 10%

Does the above seem too simple? What am I missing?

Post Office Instant Saver

A question about : Post Office Instant Saver

I'm having a rant, sorry. I've have an instant saver account with the post office for 5 years now, and have always paid in cheques that other people have sent me at the Post Office. Always had them made out to me, and never had a problem.
