A question about : Halifax Shares..

Quick question - My father was given some of the old Halifax shares years ago (200 I think) - I have just about worked out they are now under Lloyds but cant find any recent info about them - are they regular Lloyds shares now? are they worth anything?

A question about : best place to put tax money

Hello everyone,

towards the end of November last year I decided to quit my full time job and go self employed for lots of reasons.
Have to say I'm not regretting it.

Still, I've been to see an accountant with a view to being a good boy and paying my tax on time. My accountant suggests that I set up a second account and put at least 20% of my income away so that I don't ever struggle to pay the tax bill (and don't get fines either)

but then I did something dangerous and started thinking......

Just in case anyone else comes across this confusing information from Cavendish Online and the Fidelity FundsNetwork platform where, when you login to your account, it states that your 'advisor' has opted you into the Account fee (when really is hasn't).

A question about : Ј6k lump sum

I have Ј6k currently sitting in a TSB Easy Saver account but would like to put this away and earn as much interest as I can over the next year. I'm happy to lock it in, as it will be used towards a house deposit in 2016, but would like to be able to add to it when my other debts are paid off (target October this year).

A question about : I need some advice on what to do with 55,000

Sadly I am shortly (when probate is finished) due to inherit approx 55k from my Dad; I am grateful and grieving at the same time.

I am very unsure what to do with this!

A question about : Advice needed on best savings route for Ј58,000

Hi all, I am overwhelmed by the choices and I need some points in the right direction. I have been ill for a number of years and unfortunately I allowed my savings to languish in zero to nominal paying interest savings accounts. I need to take control and make good decisions. I have no debt of any kind and our mortgage is paid off. I also have a instant access account for emergencies.

So the advice I need is for saving that I can lock up for 1-4 years.

A question about : Best Investment ideas for Ј300 a month for 6 months

I'm looking to save Ј300 a month for the next 7 months as spending money for holiday.
There's hardly any point in a savings account as the interest isn't good as I won't have the account for long enough.
So what else shall I do?
Premium bonds and then cash them out before the holiday?
Or just get another account and set up a standing order?
Or any other ideas?
