Reclaim Bank & Credit Card Charges

A question about : Confused

So, we used a claims company for a number of PPI claims.

The first one came back with about Ј4000 just before Christmas. They'd already sent us a letter to initiate the claim, but we passed that to the claims company to use.

A short time later, the PPI claim was paid directly to us as a result (I assume) of a claim we already had begun ourselves.

In the meantime, the claims company have written to us asking for more proof of ID for the claim we've already been paid out on.

Yesterday I received a phone call from a FOS adjudicator to say my claim against NATWEST for my old packaged bank account was a success.
It will be 12 months in March from my first letter to the Natwest so its taken a while but worth it.
Refund to be paid back Ј1284.

A few years ago I had a bank account with the Halifax, I ran up a very large overdraft and incurred approx. Ј800 in bank charges.

I tried to claim them back but they said they would only pay it to the account, which had been sold to a debt collection agency. Stupidly, I did not take it any further and did not reclaim the charges.

A question about : Re claiming Graduate Account Fee Barclays

I've seen a lot of people have had success in reclaiming their account fees repaid , just wanted to know if anyone had any luck in claiming their account fee back on the Graduate Additions account. I've been paying Ј7pm for the past 8 years, I don't even know what benefits I get with this.

Also I finished my studies 6 years ago and I've still have this account as my main account.

**Update** Just sent a complaint to Barclays, I'll post an update once I find out more.

I had a RBS royalties gold account.I am now in going through the above company to get back the money i spent on this account.

has anyone on here had any dealings with them,good or bad.

i have their paperwork here but have not signed anything yet,its a no win no fee.They have told me that no money will come out of my account and it will be deducted from the money they get back from the bank,minus their 25% fee.I have already tried rbs for a refund,but they said NO.

any info or help much appreciated.

A question about : Barclays Premier Life

Hi,

My partner has a Barclays Premier Life account, which she pays Ј25 a month for. She used to have a different account with an overdraft and was being charged monthly for that. Barclays put their overdraft charges up at the time and she was told that if she signed up to the premier life account, it would cost her less a month and she would get all the benefits that come with that account. I'm just wondering, after reading Martin's email this week, if that is classed as mis-selling?

Hi , i am a Financial Adviser but i need the above please. I have a friend who is a 83 year old partially sighted widow who is getting hideous stick from Barclays. She has no immediate family and just a few friends.

She has one account which over the last year has built up a overdrawn amount of Ј1,000 of which Ј750 is made up of charges.

A question about : PPI miss sell payback!

Hi all. A good new story, just been paid back Ј5000 by Barclays for a miss sold ppi on my bank account going back to the year 2000. I was only expecting Ј1000 from my calculations. The FOS helped a huge amount, so no need for the PPI claim companies. You can do it yourself with the templates on the Mse website. Many many thanks.
