A question about : Bank charges claim

Hi People, I am trying to get my bank charges back from Abbey and I am at the point where they have acknowledged the claim through the court

A question about : New question on claiming back unfair charges, please help.

I sent my 1st letter to natwest claming back my bank charges last monday, today i rfeceived a letter saying they will reply in 7 days with a full responce or an update or progress. Now knowing natwest they will drag it on and on so what can i do to speed things up, or should i stick to my 14 day deadline as set out in the nitial letter i sent 9 days ago then send letter 2 as planned, please help.

A question about : Bank Charges

Looking at this board as it stands right now, 9 of the topics on the first page relate to bank charges. Surely this board is meant to be about finding the best deal on a current account. I agree that bank charges are a current issue and that people want to discuss them, but this board seems to be ignoring it's main purpose. Anyone agree with this?

My Fiancee has sent the following letter to Halifax following looking at reclaiming Bank Charges as so many people have done.

A question about : Reclaiming bank charges query: Abbey

I am currently in the process of reclaiming my bank charges from Abbey. I sent off my Ј10 and requested 6 years worth of bank statements within 40 days (as per the DPA). I waited 2 months..... I rang them a couple of times, the last is when I finally lost my patience. I told them that they were breaching the T&Cs of the DPA and I would be reporting them... lo and behold the statements turned up 3 days later!

Hey I was just looking for some advice as a family member just told me you can claim packaged account fees...

I opened my first current account back in 2007 with Ulster bank. When I went into the branch to open the account the girl basically put my name in for everything. Ufirst gold account, credit card, overdraft and life insurance.

A question about : Unfair bank charges

I have decided to sit down and work out all the bank charges that have come off my account, works out about Ј800 so did the letter to my bank and received a letter back saying they are entitled to take these charges etc etc. I then got a leaftlet titled Addressing your complaint. which advises me to write to the banks customer relations manager, do I contact them or keep on at my branch? Would appreciate any help regarding this as Im not very lucky in life and dont feel very optimistic about getting my money back!:confused:
