A question about : MBNA PPI success on a card taken out in 1991!

Hi and sorry if this is in the wrong place.

3 years ago I sent off my PPI claim to MBNA who, after a few months, turned me down. My card was initially taken out in 1991 and they sent me a copy of my application form stating I'd accepted to take out the PPI. As I chose the option I had no claim.

A question about : Refused Egg PPI/ Barclaycard

Hi Everyone I have recently claimed PPI for Barclays successfully. I have since looked into my egg card (Barclay card) I went through the exact process they have admitted ppi from 2003-2010 and all the details were the same. I got a refusal saying I applied for the card on line, I swear it was on the phone and to contact the Ombudsman ... please can anyone advise if this has happened to them and they challenged this with success ... how can I move forward, please advise

A question about : Bank charges when I was in financial hardship, can I reclaim?

Hi all,

I was in significant financial hardship a number of years aago (particularly around 2008-2011) and I had a significant number of bank charges around that time.

I have none of the details about these accounts- I basically managed to dig myself out of the hardship and I'm now much more stable financially and almost out of the debts I accrued back then.

My questions are as follows:

A question about : PPI 3 year timebar "Exceptional circumstances"?

Has anybody been able to successfully circumnavigate a lapsed 3 year timebar and made a successful PPI claim by claiming exceptional circumstances?

I understand the textbook example given is If somebody was incapacitated'.

Just wondered if anyone has gone down this path (successfully or not) and what reasons they gave as their own exceptional circumstance?

Hi,

I recently saw a full page advert in last Fridays Metro regarding mis sold life policies from various financial companies. I have been paying into a critical illness/income protection policy with some life cover for the last 18 years or so from one of these companies and I am now unsure as to whether I was mis sold my policy.
