A question about : Change from NTL to BT with no reconnect fee?

I want to change our phone to BT from NTL and also change our internet from NTL to Metronet but when we rang BT and explained what our old Bt connection box looked like (its been in our house since it was built in 1930!)they said it would cost us Ј75 to go back to them! Does anyone know of any offers we can take advantage of so that this is cheaper or even free?

A question about : Basic Line Rental with BT, new bill

I have just checked my BT bills online which I pay monthly by dd. One line had no calls on it so just line rental plus vat which came to Ј10.69, what happened to the Ј10.50? I know its only 19p but I would rather have the 19p in my pocket than BT

Anyway, my second line had Ј2.04 worth of calls on it as I have always made a point of using up my Ј2.15 worth of free calls that we had until 1 July. The Ј2.04 consisted of three calls all made in June.

does anyone know a good cheap voip supplier?

I tried gradwell and their service is apawling. you pay Ј14 quid for a number that only works with bt customers.

Any ideas? im looking for an edinburgh 0131 number.

A new "telediscount" style service has appeared - www.ratebuster.co.uk It seems to be fairly competitive and generally as good or better than the best from Telesavers/Telestunt/Telediscount for serveral countries.

I'm pretty sure this service is being run by ONETEL as onetel have a unique error in my address and I received an advertising postcard today promoting the service with the same error in the address, and onetel wouldn't sell my address to a rival company.
