A question about : BT

Good morning everyone,

I am trying to set up an additional email account, with BT. The instructions are simple (ish), log on to My BT, go to the manage my email part and under the list of my email addresses there will be a box entitled 'create new email', click on it and job done. The problem is that there is no 'create new email' box. It simply is not there. The 'help' button just sends me around in circles and when I called BT, I was advised to either sign up for Premium Mail at Ј1.90 per month or spend Ј8 to speak to a technical expert!

A question about : BT Hot Fibre Deal charging Ј18 not Ј10

Just went through the order process but stopped before confirming as MSE says using its link gets you broadband at Ј10 per month but the order on BT link shows Ј18 as the order price.
Also TV box is still Ј5 not Ј2.50
Currently on virgin for tv tel and bb

Does the discount get applied after ordering?

A question about : Can unicom charge me cancellation fees?

I signed a 3 year contract with Unicom for my house phone, but that ended in April this year. I am currently transferring to Sky and Unicom are asking for Ј137 termination fees. They said they automatically renewed my contract in April for another year. I didn't know this. Can they do that? Please can someone help?

A question about : Virgin Media contract

Moved house in February 2014 and haggled with VM for a better deal as I had them in my old house.Spoke to them and ended up with a really good package ( Ј33 a month for 12 Months on a 12 Month contract ) , as per email confirmation.Am just coming up to the end of my 12 Months special price/contract and wanted to contact them to see if they could keep the price nearer this figure than the price of Ј72 a month which my newly arrived bill is asking for.

I discovered that an engineer installed a new FTTC line in the same cabinet that provides my FTTC line during mid morning of Thursday the 12th February.

A question about : WTF Just had cold call from BT.....

I am registered with the Telephone preferences service (or whatever it is called) to not get cold calls. Checked the other day and registration is still current.

Tonight phone rang and it was a cold call from someone claiming to be calling on behalf of BT, about some wonderful offer they now had available. Hung up at that point.

Was it really BT? Checked on the number calling me and it was 0800 9539090

A question about : 02 upgrade

Hi I'm new to this great forum.

I have just upgraded my 02 contract and ordered a new samsung A5 phone. O2 have now sent my an iPhone 6 by mistake. I don't know what to do send it back or keep the iPhone.

A question about : Porridge telecom-anyone used them?

They provide a system where they enable someone using a pay card pin telephone (ie prisoner) to call mobiles for the same price as a landline. They give you a new landline number for the person to call but the call comes through on your mobile, making sure you don't miss an important call from the caller.
Does anyone know if this actually works? Is any good? Any problems with it etc? I would like to set it up for someone to call me but I'm really not sure..
