CHANGE YOUR TALK TALK. ACCOUNT TO Ј9.95 A MONTH + 24/7 FREE CALLS
My sister-in-law who has an account with Talk Talk noticed that https://www.toucantele.com/ was offering a similar deal as Talk Talk but for only Ј9, 99 a month including free 24 hours a day calls to UK numbers. She phoned Talk Talk to close her account with them and when asked why she was closing the account she said that she was changing to Toucan who was offering a much better deal. They immediately offered that, if she would stay with them they would only charger her Ј9, 95 a month and include all day every day free calls as well. So she has decided to stay with them.
So, if anybody out there has a Talk Talk account and wants a better deal, try doing what my sister-in-law did. If it doesn't work you at least have the opportunity to changing to Toucan.

- Better still, tell them both to stick it and get free phone calls all day every day (1p connection charge only) with Call18866, with no monthly fee at all. ;D
- when I mentioned leaving TalkTalk a few months a go they put me on 24/7 free calls at Ј4.49 inc vat ! ;D
- Yeah 18866 sounds like the best option at the moment. It might be a good idea to keep your options open though, because nobody's really sure how long 18866 will be able to keep up the free UK calls pricing. Use it while it's there but even with having no experience in the telecoms, I wouldn't be too surprised one day if they decide not to do it any more!
P.S. If you access 18866 via their via other access numbers (i.e. their 0808 and 020 numbers), since the 15th September 2004 they have a different (slightly more expensive) tariff.
Landline UK calls are 0.5p/min
UK Mobiles are 4p weekends, 14p other times
(plus the 1p connection charge).
