I have and old .ntlworld email address that ive used for the last 10+ years, in that time ive been with virgin/sky/bt/back to virgin.

A question about : Sky TV. . . Quick Question

I was hovering on skys website the other day mulling over their packages, i was drawn to the Ј28 variety package and was aware that a 40% off code would probably be available through this site.

I started chatting to an adviser and when i mentioned the code said she would do it for 50% for the first year, in a nutshell i decided to go with this and got right to the end of the transaction to realise my wife (who's account the payment would come out of) didnt know her visa security password!

A question about : tv licence summons any suggestions

I received keys for my flat in June but didn't move in till September due to being pregnant and staying with my parents after whilst my flat was being decorated and whilst I adjusted to mother hood.
A week and a half into me living there I managed to use money I'd saved to purchase a tv and to be completely honest with a new born and moving into my first place alone my tv licence slipped my mind. (I know that's probably an age old excuse but it did)

A question about : BT cut my line

Hi all.

BT recently replaced the telephone pole outside our home. The engineer had warned us that the work would take place and would result in a loss of service.

We thanked him for the heads up and told him that we were with Virgin.

Before the pole was replaced we had a (disused) BT line running form the pole to our home. Now we have no BT line.

If we decide to switch from Virgin to BT, will we now have to pay Ј130 for them to reinstate the line that they removed?

A question about : Best deal for line rental?

Hope I am posting this in the right place.

I am coming to the end of my line rental with TalkTalk in March, I usually take out a 12 month up front contract, and was checking on price comparisons sites. The Post Office looks substantially cheaper (Ј12 a month) if you pay up front so I was wondering:

a) Are they any good and easy to switch to?

b) Will I still be able to keep my TalkTalk broadband package? I have never had any problems with it and don't necessarily need to switch.

A question about : 118 numbers

Beware of 118118. For the first time in years I had to get a phone number from them. It cost me Ј9.05. I couldn't believe it when my bill came through.

A question about : BT sport on sky

Hi. Currently we have Sky TV with sports and movies. We want to stay with sky as my husband finds it easy to use. We wondered if it is possible to have bt sport on sky without having the sky sports package. I know that we would need to order it from BT. Any info would be helpful. Thanks
