Being more MSE with wet dog food

A question about : Being more MSE with wet dog food

Hi everyone,

Trying to do a 'financial diet' and it seems I spend a lot on my dog's food.

I don't mind paying for their dry food, but one of my dogs refuses to eat plain dry food title=Mad so I mix in some wet, and if I give one dog it I have to give the other dog it... so I go through a packet every 2 days.

Removing dog smell from a house

A question about : Removing dog smell from a house

I am considering purchasing a property but the owners have dogs and there is a fairly strong smell of dog in the house especially downstairs. I am not a dog or animal owner and therefore perhaps notice the smell more. The house has wooden flooring downstairs and carpets upstairs.

I would want to know how the smell could be removed or if there are professional companies who could fumigate the house before i could move in and how much would this cost.

Letting cat out after move

A question about : Letting cat out after move

My cat has lived with my parents for the last year whilst I rented away from home. I'm now settled with my boyfriend and we have the cat back with us.

It's been exactly a week since he arrived. The first few days were tense and he was thoroughly miserable as he'd been very comfortable at my parents. However in the last few days he's been much happier and is settling into the same routines as he had with my parents.

Lonely Cat

A question about : Lonely Cat

Hi
I had two cats but one of them has gone missing (think he was stolen as he was a very pretty cat). My now single cat is very lonely. He is only three years old and still lively and wants to play, so I want to buy anther cat to keep him company.

I originally thought to get a cat of a similar age but it seems quite hard to get hold of a cat that likes/gets on with other cats whereas if I got a kitten would be used to playing with its littermates.

Helping a stressed cat

A question about : Helping a stressed cat

My aunt has an elderly friend who has a housecat. The friend has gone into hospital and will be there for about 3 more weeks.
The cat is at home, and my aunt goes into the house 3/4 times a day to feed and play with the cat (my aunt goes in to the house often so is known to the cat) The cat has been fine for a couple of weeks but is now going off food, getting a bit hissy and scratchy with my aunt and tries to get out of the door when it gets opened prior to this she was happy indoors).
