A question about : 'American Style' Samsung Fridge Freezer (merged threads)

My Samsung fridge freezer has started to 'buzz' annoyingly.

The noise stops when I open the fridge door and starts again when I close it.

It's not the vibration of articles in the fridge but it's more likely to do with the cooling system.

I've moved the position of the freezer to see if that works but it doesn't.

Has anyone got any ideas ? :confused:

Ok, so before I start I need to declare an interest in this subject. I am a granite wholesaler. I import material from source (mainly India) and sell it mostly to the trade, although I do deal with the public if they wish. I specialise in pre-produced countertops.

My fiance and I are about to buy our first home - a 1930s bungalow in need of total refurbishment. With the exception of the roof and walls, it pretty much needs gutting and starting again.

My question is - does anyone know of any useful guides or online resources that would help us through this process?

A question about : Getting rid of rats/mice (merged threads)

I walked into the kitchen yesterday and saw a black rat/mouse move towards our bin in the kitchen, it came from the utility room.

Now what can I do to get rid of them?
Should I buy the rat poison and leave it around or buy traps? How much should I buy and how long does it take to do the trick?

Is there anything else that I should do?
Do I need to tell the council?

All help appreciated.

A question about : Are there any bathroom extractor fans that are any good?

We had an extractor fan fitted by an electrician when we had our loft done. It seems to be completely useless and only makes a noise, so we have to have the window open all the time.

Is it worth buying a different one, if so what, and will it be an easy job to replace do you think, given we already have a fan in place?

A question about : water softner help in chosing and is this true

i have decided to get either a kinetico 2020c or a crown Twin Cylinder Non Electric water softner.

1. HOWEVER when i phoned and enquired about the crown the sales person said that yes they were good and gave me the sales pitch. i then asked about the kinetico and she said that it was the best out of the 2. the price difference was crown £650 and kinetico £840 i said i wanted to get more quotes.

A question about : Soffits and Fascias

Hello everybody,

I am just in the process of getting together some quotes for a full replacement of soffits, fascias and guttering. Other than knowing they're quite expensive, I don't really know what else I should be looking for or asking about!

I am also having my bay window roof completely replaced as it is coming apart.

Are there any questions I need to be asking the tradesmen when they come out?

Does it matter what brand of uPVC boards they use?

Any things I need to listen out for?
