Top Ten Products that you DON'T need (Babies!)

A question about : Top Ten Products that you DON'T need (Babies!)

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...-save-275.html

I don't see a thread discussing this.

I didn't know what items we needed/didn't need for our baby (she is 5 months). There was a couple of items that I know that we didn't need like the nappy stacker. I found that even though cot sets are lovely, they are full of items that are not recommended to have because of SIDs.

But what items have you regretted buying?

Hoarding Pre-Baby

A question about : Hoarding Pre-Baby

Hey ladies, apologies if this has been done I haven't been on for a while.

So I am hoarding things before baby three arrives, the usual baby wipes, shampoo, nappies etc. And I'm planning to breastfeed so I have a pump and I'm looking into buggies for expressed milk etc.

I was wondering firstly if it's worth hoarding household things like toothpaste, washing up liquid etc. Or is it better to just buy as you go along? Also what sorts of things you'd suggest hoarding other than the usual baby stuff listed above.

Selling kids things

A question about : Selling kids things

This might sound really daft, but I would really appreciate others opinions on something...

It was my daughters birthday a month ago and I bought her a new bike, I was going to give her old one away to a family member, then thought against it as I am always giving away my daughters used things and it has now become expected and we never receive a thanks anymore.

So, being money saving..... I have put her old bike on eBay and it's sold for Ј20.

Anyone tried asda sp nappies?

A question about : Anyone tried asda sp nappies?

I've bought a pack today as a back up Incase we run out of any till our next shop which is in two weeks time.
Costing Ј1.41 for 20 https://groceries.asda.com/asda-webst...oduct/77428421

So far they look and feel ok , no pattern on them plain white.
They dont look like the old sp nappies (plasticky) they feel like a usual nappy.

I've just put one on ds2 just hope they are as absorbent as asdas normal type just without the pattern/print.

Pregnancy, first trimester exhaustion

A question about : Pregnancy, first trimester exhaustion

I am 8 weeks pregnant with my second baby and finding myself absolutely exhausted all the time. It's not been the easiest pregnancy so far. I was taken into hospital last week for a scan for a suspected ectopic pregnancy due to sickness, stomach upset and tummy pains but thank goodness everything was okay.

Would you give to charity instead of receiving greeting cards?

A question about : Would you give to charity instead of receiving greeting cards?

Hi money saving mums!

85% of women buy greeting cards. And we're spending 1.5 Billion a year on them.

Would you want to see some of this money go to better use, such as giving to charity, instead of people sending you all of those cards?

Imagine Ј50 going to a cause you care about, instead of cards on your special occasion? What charity would you give to?

Many thanks!

Cot bed matress advice

A question about : Cot bed matress advice

I am looking at buying a cotbed matress and wanted some advice. It is not for a newborn (child is just over 1yr) but I will be using it for a few years and wondered what people's advice would be about buying a middle of the range priced one or one of the more expensive ones?

Would you go for a foam matress or sprung? Also is it worth getting one with a removable cover? Would you go for one with waterproof cover or just buy a seperate cover? So much choice!

Thanks for your advice.
