A question about : Clearing vegetable patch please :)

Hi,
Ive got an 18ft square vegetable patch. Its covered in weeds and blackberry bushes. Im trying to clear it but it seems an impossible task.
I dont really want to use and chemicals because i want my produce to be organic, but i really dont know how im going to clear these weeds!

Maybe a long weekend of weeding is in order

Any help would be appreciated.

can anyone tell me the best variety of potatoes to grow in the garden and when to put them in. I have prepared a vegetable patch in the garden for runner Beans already and wanted to grow potatoes aswell.

A question about : Cheap coarse sand for succulents?

Hi,
I want to make a mix of soil for my succulents. I'm going to have a go at propagating the ones I have, and buy others and propagate them too
But I want to make up my own mix with potting compost, perlite and coarse sand.
I don't have anywhere to store a big bag of sand so I am not getting a sack of builders sand. Do any of you know where I can get a smaller bag from? The cheaper the better too please

A question about : Sieving Vegetable patch.

I have loads of earth that i need to sieve. I have a small garden seive but it will take forever. Anyone got any clever ideas on how to sieve lots and effeciently?

A question about : Just got my hands on a greenhouse and need help?

Hi,

Got myself a 6x6 greenhouse yesterday (lady no longer required it) and should be up within 2 weeks needs new screws 'w' & 'z' clips and need to replace 2 broken panes (done in trasport) and need a base for it.

so what things can you suggest i'm a total novice here i know you can get excellent results with toms and cucumbers but don't know where to start.

Any help?

Not sure if this belongs here, or In my home but I'll give it a go...

Our refuse collection service has just changed to wheely bins, so I've got 3 spare conventional bins. Rather than throwing them away, I thought I'd use them for planting some potatoes.

A question about : Greenhouse advice

My mum recently bought a small greenhouse i.e. one of the 4 tier shelves with plastic covering. She bought lettuce seeds and other various seeds. She has planted them in a trough and little leaves can be seen! (sooo cute )

is there any tips or things that need to be done daily/weekly that you could advise me to do. She'll be really proud if it turns out a success??
