A question about : Central Heating problem and question

My Danfoss control box has two settings - Water Only and Water/Heating.

When on Water/Heating the red light comes on on the control box and the boiler fires up. When on Water Only, the red light comes on on the control box but the boiler does not fire up and the boiler light does not illuminate.

I am thinking that the motorised valve must have failed. Is that a correct diagnosis?

Any advice appreciated.

I live on the top floor of a three storey block of flats. My washing machine leaked so badly the other day that both flats below me were flooded. The flat immediately below me is in a very sodden state and the owner has no contents insurance ( neither do I ).

Hi I own a detached property that has a double car port under my next door neighbours one floor apartment.

It is fully enclosed with the exception of the front.

What are the laws in England about me wanting a garage door on it?

I haven't approached the subject with them yet but wondered if planning permission was required and also if any people are I. Similar situations.

A question about : Council and flood damage

Hi,
My house was flooded last week during bad storm. Carpets and Sofa's ruined along with other belongings. This is a council property and has had problems with floods in past. Council put a drain outside my front door but because next doors guttering is in bad repair the overflow on to my house was really bad and drain couldn't cope. Water came about 8 up some parts. The council have been told many times about guttering but they have not repaired it. Can they be made to pay for my damage?

A question about : Sewage Flood Insurance Claim

Just wondering if anyone know where I stand regards an insurance claim due to raw sewage flooding in to my garden & summer house.

On the 16th May this year a main drain in the street collapsed & all the sewage from the town flooded in to my garden...24 hours of raw sewage pumping out, a lot of sewage, not just dirty water but solids also.

The garden is 150 foot long & was over a foot deep in sewage, the summer house was standing in over a foot of sewage for over 24 hours.
