Advice needed for drying out after a flood.

A question about : Advice needed for drying out after a flood.

For an unknown amount of time the washing machine was emptying straight under the floor boards instead of to an outlet pips so we discovered a lake when we lifted them up. The problem has been fixed but water is soaking up through the foundations/walls so there is clearly a lot more to get out. From reading up I think we need a combination of heat/air circulation/dehumidifiers to solve the problem.

I would welcome any advice but especially these questions:

Loss assessor or loss adjustor?

A question about : Loss assessor or loss adjustor?

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum so excuse me if I get something wrong! My sister in law had a really bad flood recently and had to go through insurance companies and she used a loss assessor. I personally didnt know what a loss assessor and a loss adjustor did, to be honest I thought they were the same thing but they're not. I thought I'd share this with you as I think its something that will really help (there were lots of threads with related comments but I'm not sure how to post in them!)

Bathroom leak on a new build

A question about : Bathroom leak on a new build

Hi,

Our house is 18 months old. On Saturday, my wife noticed a 50 cm long damp line on the living room ceiling, directly below the bathroom. Upon closer inspection after removing the bath panel, all underneath the bath is damp/wet. The wet has even seeped into our master bedroom which is next door to the bathroom, making the carpet damp.
