A question about : Is this a redundancy situation?

OUr dept has recently decided that there are 3 staff doing the same job and only enough work for 2, therefore positions would be cut. All three of us were invited to apply for the 2 remaining positions and unfortunately, I was the unlucky one who is now without a job.

Am I entitled to redundancy in this situation? I have been here 2 1/2 years so realise it won't be a huge amount but every penny helps when you are unemployed!! I asked the HR woman when she told me I had been unsucessful and she didn't know!!

A question about : LGV Training Subsidy

Hello Everyone

Can anyone advise me as to what the lgv training subsidy is? How to get it and what is involved to claim it.

I am looking to study my LGV Caterogy C training. I currently only have a normal car license and seeking to improve my prospects for the future.

Any advice on getting my training cheaper. ie Training Subsidy!

A question about : I think i've just seen my perfect job!

quite well paid (for this town anyway!);

several duties they need doing were the main part of previous jobs;

involves of of my fave hobbies.. (no, not that!)

AND get to travel!

may have to work on my report writing skills (none), but i think i can blag that- just glorified typing isnt it??

Ive just had my CRB disclosure letter back all was ok nothing recorded but this only took 1 mth is this the only check i will get with the CRB or is there more my new manager is waiting for ? As i was told this is a waver the one ive just had done so that i cant start my new job asap and i will get another part is this correct, and will be supervised, im going to be working for a NHS Hospital.

Just been on local BBC News. Unemployment in my area amongst adults of working age stands at 33%, one of the worst in UK, and it's slated to suffer the highest percentage of job losses in the UK over the coming 12 months.

No wonder there's not been a lot of work about.

Still, as long as there's job adverts, there's still a chance.

A question about : CeMap training- has anyone trained with CeMapWizard?

Hiya,
I wondered if anyone can tell me if they have trained with them in the past? I want to complete my CeMap levels 2 and 3 and have been looking around on the net and they seem to be the most reasonably priced and most genuine-looking (but still very expensive).

I wondered if anyone could share their experiences with me because I have heard horror stories of 'hidden charges' and bogus trainers' whilst attending these sorts of training courses.....
