A question about : Is this a redundancy situation?
OUr dept has recently decided that there are 3 staff doing the same job and only enough work for 2, therefore positions would be cut. All three of us were invited to apply for the 2 remaining positions and unfortunately, I was the unlucky one who is now without a job.
Am I entitled to redundancy in this situation? I have been here 2 1/2 years so realise it won't be a huge amount but every penny helps when you are unemployed!! I asked the HR woman when she told me I had been unsucessful and she didn't know!!
