A question about : stoping the card way of life

Inspired by the epic from the Rochdale guy here is my story:

Egg Ј 993 owed @ 14.9%
Marbles Ј 4510 @ 14.9% 0% till june
Halifax Ј 5218 @ 6.9%
Sainsburys Ј 3905 @ 5.9%
Natwest Ј 2600 @ 5.8%

Total credit card debt : Ј17266

Secured loan Ј 9000 @ 5.9%

A question about : Should I clear all CC with loan???

Hi all,

I now owe just over Ј26k on cc abd Ј14k ona personal loan.

I have swithched cards all over the place and they now stand as follows.

barclaycard Ј15591 5% life
mint Ј4150 6.9% life
abbey Ј7200 0% till may (although plan to move this to egg & tsb 0% for 9 & 12months) don't know after that I have assumed I can get something around 7.9 fixed.

A question about : Cheap Credit is Bad

..for most people.

My argument is counterintuitive, and took me several years to appreciate. Most of the advice on this site is about saving money, which is great, except that is not always in our best interests. How can that possibly be true?

Because credit is very similar to other addictive consumer products. It is similar to drugs in as much as once you use it regularly, it becomes impossible to envisage a world when you can't use it.

I So Wanted To Be Debt Free And Was Trying Hard To Transfer Bal On Cc To 0% But Was Refused.
I Currently Have A Loan With My Bank Taken Out On July 03 For Ј25,000 ( I Was Going To Buy A Second House To Rent Out)
This Didnt End Up Happening And We Used Some Of The Money To Do Up Our Existing House,the Org Loan Was Taken Out Of 10yrs At 293.00pm -we Now Have Ј9000 Left And Wanted To Pay This Off The Org Loan And Shorten The Term.

A question about : could we ?

six years ago we had our house reposessed. we was left with a debt of around Ј14,000, which we are now paying off at Ј30 a month, we are a low income family. this amount does go up every 6 months. i was told by the collection agency that i could make 1 payment to clear the debt of around Ј2000 maximum.i would love to get sorted and buy a property again but dont know if i would be black listed for that. also does anyone know where i could possibly get Ј2000 from with a low repayment that would have the debt payed off quicker?

Is There Anybody There Who Could Give Me Any Advice Here Is The Situation.
I Have In The Past Tried To Transfer Credit Card Balances -and I Was Successful A Few Years Ago -however Since Then I Would Say All My Payments Have Been On Time ( Although Quite Often Min Pay -but Have Often Paid Off Large Amounts In One Go)
