Well for all those of you who are wondering which company gives out cards the easiest.....the winner without doubt is MBNA.

My car (which I need to do my job) has just blown up with repairs costing Ј4000. I have a First Direct classic Visa card which I could use to pay for the repairs or am I better off getting a loan. Time is of the essence as without my car I cannot work? What do you think?

A question about : Help-SBT query!

I've been trawling around the site for ages trying to find out if First Direct do SBTs. Their T&Cs say "balance transfer is a transfer of funds from your account with us directly to another specified account held by you with another card company". There's no mention of "paying off" overdrafts or interest free credit card cheques during 0% period. I'm pretty sure this means that only straightforward balance transfers are allowed but thought I'd ask if anyone could tell me otherwise?

Can I apologise now if this Q has been asked 100 times but I have searched and cannot find it. I have a 0% for life from BC couple of questions.
1. I keep seeing chats about it has ended they have changed T&C's but mine has not changed! Or does this just refer to its no longer available to new customers?
