I am looking to apply for a 0% purchases credit card in order to purchase long-haul flights for myself and my boyfriend (c.Ј800 each).

When I first had a credit card (too many) years ago, it was written into the terms and conditions that sellers were not allowed to charge different prices for cash v. card purchases.
This is no longer the case. Many online sites now routinely charge extra for using a credit card, some even charge for debit cards.

Does anyone know how, when and why the change occurred?

A question about : balance transfers

Hi

I have swapped my credit cards around for years getting 0% deals for years. The problem I have now is when applying for a new credit card to transfer balances to they are all quite small ie Ј1000 credit limits which is no good for what I need. I have heard quite a few times of people saying they have transfered Ј10k plus to a new deal. How do they do this? I can't afford to keep applying and leaving the footprint or my credit score would go through the roof. Please help. Many thanks

Does anyone know how long companies have to charge a credit card after a purchase has been made? I pre-ordered something in October 2014 which was dispatched at the end of December but so far the charge has not been made to my credit card. Thanks.

A question about : Accepting card payments without hardware

Hello all,

My question is quite simple.

Have you tried to take a payment from a customer remotely only for the payment to fail using a chip and pin terminal or mobile pos?

The problem is, 26% of the UK has no data connection, so a mPoS which relies on data connectivity is NOT suitable.

In these scenario's what do you do? other than ask for cash!

I have Ј20,000 of debt over 3 credit cards with 20% Interest

I applied for a 0% card and got it for 29 months but with a Ј6000 credit limit.

Do you think I'll be accepted for another card to transfer all or someof the remaining Ј14,000 or will it just damage my credit rating and not get me anywhere
