A question about : CSA1 Maintenance Assessment

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and would appreciate any advice.

After 6yrs of hearing nothing from CSA, we have today received a maintenance assessment on CS1. All the boxes in the assessment say Ј0.00 except the boxes that say Maintenance Needed, Income After deductions, Disposable Income and Protected Income Level.

Should I be able to see how they worked out the assessment and what figures they used to get the amount due?

Child is almost 19 years old, claiming income support has been for a year or so, so no child benefit in payment for a lengthy period. He is in full time education still however. Should maintenance be in payment, and more to the point during the summer break he was getting no child benefit and not attending a college for 6 weeks we notified the csa and we're told the resident parent would need to confirm but she didn't where do we stand

Just wondered if anyone has had any luck through the courts in proving that their ex is working cash in hand to avoid paying CSA?

Hi first time poster long time reader.
my DD is starting work so csa will be stopping. Am I able to request that the csa review this final years payments to see if correct amount was paid before closing the case?

• Hi you can ask the CSA to review yes for this you will have to ask them to issue you a final full account breakdown.
  I would request this in writing and also ensure that you obtain the full case clsoure letters from CSA with the correct effective date.

A question about : Sorting personal arrangements with maintenance?

So, i'm rather complicated I'm afraid! I have 2 daughters by two different dads (it's a looong story!) I am currently at my Mums trying to find somewhere to rent, my costs for looking after them aren't that high, but I want to get maintenance sorted soon because things are going to be much tighter once I find somewhere to move out to. I also don't want to have to go through child maintenance to get the payments if possible.

Hi, I'm just wondering how this works, if my partner is in full time education and got a job at weekends working 13/14 hours a week and I'm working 17.5 hours a week, do Csa take my wages into consideration for payments for his daughter with an ex partner

A question about : CSA gave up after NRP did not answer door!

Hello

I am wondering if anyone has any advice / experience please, on a CSA 'mistake'.

CSA have admitted they should have collected Ј8,000 in child maintenance from the NRP many years ago but did not.

They admit they visited his property twice, got no response and gave in chasing him.

He has never paid one penny towards our daughters' upkeep.

A question about : Child benefit question

It is my understanding that a father has to provide for a child until they reach the age of 16 or whilst in full time education, given that this extends beyond the age of 16, is this so?.

If so, and the child is not living with the other parent, can any payment be made to the child rather than the mother, simply to ensure the child has it paid into their bank account.
