My fianc!e has 3 daughters. She divorced in 2003 and the county court order specified that he had to pay Ј125 per month per child until they were either 17 of finished in tertiary education, whichever was the latter. Oddly there was no provision for inflation.

He has paid this regularly for over ten years, including paying at the Ј375 rate even after her eldest finished university two years ago. This money has genuinely been spent on her children.

My cousin is pregnant and living with her bf in their own appartment. No one really likes him as he is a bit of a tit and has a bit of a chequered past - he never sees his child from his previous relationship for various reasons.. He's not even allowed supervised visits. He's been to anger managemen etc too.

A friend is recipient of CSA, and the non-resident parent has built up arrears of over Ј1000.

They currently pay at a rate of Ј200/month, suggesting an income of around Ј1300/month.

The repayment they've negotiated with the CSA would push this to Ј220 per month, meaning they pay off the Ј1000 at a rate of Ј5 a week over 3.9 years.

A question about : Help Please- CSA/Child benifit confusion

My daughter is now 18 and attending college on a one year advanced course.
I assumed I would no longer have to pay but as the child benefit office do not class this as an advanced course so my CSA payments continue.
Before this the CSA advised that advanced courses would mean and end to my case ????

Can anyone advise if there is anything I can do.

Why the hell should my wife's income and our child benefit be taken into account when calculating CS1 assessment to pay for MY child? This system is all wrong and is causing a lot of trouble between myself and my wife, we are on the verge of breaking up and she is ill with worry.
