A question about : Mature student, no childcare assistance!

I'm new to the forum and to childcare. My little girl is due in less than 2 weeks.

Apologies for the length and disorganisation of this thread....

I am a mature student studying for a healthcare degree. I receive NHS funding for my course and am hoping to return to my second year in September, leaving my little girl in nursery.

A question about : Am I entitled to Working or Child Tax Credits?

Hi,

I am a bit confused whether it would be worth my time to claim working or child tax credits.

I am married with a 2 year old son. My husband works full time on a salary of around Ј30,000 per year. I work part time on a 10 hour contract, which equates to around Ј3744 per year, plus some overtime. So we have a combined income of around Ј34,000. I currently don't pay tax or national insurance, my husband claims the full Ј243 per month in childcare vouchers.

A question about : jobs dilemma

last week went for a interview for flyering work, I then was notified of an interview for sainsburys monday temp 6 months-now have an interview thursday for sales dept 20 hours. the guy for the flyering has asked me to start monday but only wants 6 hours done next week. !!!

happy as nothing was happening on the jobs front did not expect all this at once!!!!

A question about : JSA Overpayment, need serious help?! :(

So basically, me and my partner have been together since 04/2011, I was the only claiming partner up until 08/2012 which is the point she then made a claim for income-based JSA.

At this point in time we are both claiming the same benefit and the same amount, HOWEVER we are not living together as we come from separate sides of the country.

A question about : I stopped salary sacrifice 6m ago but still have some in my account.....

I used to use a salary sacrifice scheme with y employer for the full Ј243 a month and managed to accrue some vouchers in my voucher account.

I stopped my salary sacrifice 6 months ago and informed Tax Credits/HMRC. They adjusted my childcare element tax credit accordingly.

I have continued to use the remaining vouchers to pay for childcare.

A question about : Cancelled Child Benefit

I cancelled child benefit for the year 2014-15 thinking that I would earn over the Ј50,000 limit.

Turns out that my bonus isn't what I was hoping for and I am just under the Ј50,000 level. Is it possible to get the child benefit reinstated.

Not phoned HMRC yet.
