A question about : Housing benefit help.

I'm a student and currently on PIP. I also get NI credits for ESA as it was deemed I earned too much to be awarded any payment. I don't work, have a disability and live in London.

I wanted to know if anyone had experience with claiming housing benefit as a student in London. the cost of housing here is so steep and I'm REALLY struggling to maintain my health and live here. I can't leave as I am in university here as well as therapy.

I get full student finance and student grant which equates to Ј12,000 a year.

A question about : jobcentre work focused interview, i cant work

I'm currently on Income Support due to the situation with my son (lone parent, long story), and I just got a letter about having to go to an interview to get me into work.

I've looked it up and they require you to be free 16 hours a week minimum (from what I could find online), and my son is only in nursery 2 and a half days a week. The half day I can't do anything as it's literally 3 hours. The full days are only until 3.15pm as well.

I am looking for some help regarding entitlement to council tax. My adult dd has a significant mental illness. She currently rents a flat. She gets ESA (support group) plus highest rate care for PIP. She is also applying for the severe disability premium.

I work full time and live with my retired partner. The house we live in just now is solely owned by me. OH has sold his house and we are looking to buy somewhere together.

i am having a meltdown!!! I was told by JCP staff in person and DWP staff over the phone that if i requested my holiday pay from work once my occupational sick pay had run out then thiswould NOT affect my benefit, it would be treated as capital.....HOWEVER today i scanned my payslip with a months worth of holiday pay to DWP and they rung me and said they are stopping my benefit as they are treating it as regular income! They will not budge and will not tell me who it was i spoke to previously!
