A question about : Thames Water took money from my bank a/c without permission

I recently moved out of one shared flat into another and so phoned Thames Water to close the old account and open a new one. Whilst on the phone nothing was mentionned about how I wanted to pay and so I waited for a bill. Before any bill arrived I checked my bank a/c and saw that I'd incurred charges for use of an unauthorised overdraft. Thames Water have used the bank details I gave them for the old a/c to set up a direct debit for the new a/c without permission.

Hi,

I received an estimated bill from Thames Water today. It was too high so I submitted a reading online. After making the reading on the Thames Water website, the last page it says

Thank you for giving us your latest meter reading. If this reading means your metered charges need to be updated, we’ll send you a revised bill within the next six working days. Please allow a further three to five days to receive it.

But in the email acknowledgement it says:

How do I get my deceased Aunts money back from a water company for my mother ???.
They would only send a cheque made out to the Executors of ------- unless we get a grant of Administration or Probate which the cost would out way the Ј68 they owe us . any ideas would be great

A question about : Does my water bill seem correct?

Roughly, this is my daily usage of water.

One 2,27 litre bottle filled with water per day, one pan filled full of water per day, 5 litres of water extra used from leaking tap when showering in total over the week, two eight minute showers taken a week, four basins full of water washing my hair a week, toilet flushed three times a day maximum, water used for central heating around forty minutes a day. That works out around Ј4-.4.50-Ј5 a week.
