Hi guys,

This morning, as usual, I put my immersion heater on for half an hour. After this half hour had passed, I suddenly heard the sound of rushing water. I went to investigate and discovered it was coming from the cupboard where my immersion heater is. I've never seen (or heard) this before, and my water meter was ticking over like crazy so I'm quite concerned about what it was. The only way I could get it to stop (it was going for a good ten minutes without fail) was to completely turn off my water supply.

A question about : Can't get a water meter

I live in a flat in London, and applied for a water meter as soon as I moved here, knowing that because there's only me living in my flat, and I work full time, a meter would definitely save me money - 40% according to the Thames Water website. But I can't get one because the block of flats I live in has a common water supply, and many of the flats are council owned, so there's no way of changing that.

Fair enough.

A question about : OFFICIAL: No water in N15 and N17.

Hi folks it's official! Just got off the phone with Thames Water and there is no water supply at the moment in N15 and N17. TW engineers are trying to fix the problem.

So think twice before you do your doo.

In November I moved into a single floor flat that had been created out of part of a two floor maisonette.

The landlord isn't the most organised person, with the result that we had to get the Council Tax rebanded - another story altogether!
