I have just received an invoice from a Chinese company with whom I am dealing, and I have to remit payment by telegraphic transfer. Anyone any idea of the cost of this service?

A question about : Raising money for a family member?

Hi,

I don't know if this is the right board but I'm trying to find out how I can setup an online page to raise money for my son's school? He has a heart condition and I'm trying to raise money to purchase a defibrillator for his school. All of the charity pages seem to allow you to setup an account to raise money for a particular charity but I want to raise money for this personal cause.

I hope someone is able to help me and point me in the right direction?

We are in the early stages of considering purchasing a business. We visited a couple of businesses for sale while staying with family at Christmas and one in particular looks interesting. We have requested initial financial information through the brokers and received P+L statements for 2011, 12 and 13.

I've been self employed for about 5 years, and for three of those, have been running two small businesses (below the VAT threshold), which have been detailed separately on my self assessment form. The accounts are kept separate etc.

3 months ago, I closed one of the businesses, and have spent time (and money) working on a new start-up - which unfortunately, I decided not to proceed with at the last minute due to a number of changes in both personal circumstances and business climate. The remaining business will continue to trade.
