I think my position is very good,please can anyone confirm my thoughts,
The company i work for are looking to shut down the whole department i work in,they purchased the business in 2012 and i was given a contract at the time they purchased my old employers,it was a TUPE transfer,the contract advises i have 20 years service.

Hi , Just been made redundant from the 31/12/2014 from a large company after 20yrs service.
Now I am accepting my redundancy package and there is a job offer within the same group but different business as transport manager ...
If I accept redundancy can I go back and work for the same company after 3 months period or is it longer ...

Apologies if this is the wrong forum.

I was redeployed into my current role at a university at the end of June 2014 for a fixed term period until June 2015. The new post was for 1 day a week, and the contract accurately reflects this, however a few weeks in I was offered the opportunity to work another day a week, which I accepted. At the time it was stated verbally that the extra day would be dependent on funding altough no specific date was mentioned to me. I received a letter informing me of the hours increase:

Around a year ago I took out an insurance policy with Legal and General specifically to protect against redundancy (Lifestyle Cover Payment Protection Insurance) - I also had a smaller policy set up to cover my mortgage from 2006 with Cardiff Pinnacle which cover Sickness, Accident and also redundancy (helpupay Accident Sickness and Unemployment - Mortgage Payment Protection Plan).

A question about : voluntary Redundancy

Hi, I am about to take voluntary redundancy. My current salary is Ј35000 & my wife earns Ј12000. I am completely changing jobs & have managed to find another job but paying a lot less Ј18,500, so this will mean our combined household income will drop from Ј47000 to Ј30500. We have two children age 5 & 12, does anyone know if we would be able to claim any top up working tax or other benefits with the big drop in income? Thanks
